Reading Pride – ‘brilliant!’

AWE had a stand at Reading Pride for the first time this year and AWE’s team of volunteers are already looking forward to the next one!

The colourful AWE stand was very busy, attracting visitors from the start of the event and the interactive science area was particularly popular with families. The volunteer team had a great time and spoke to over 1,000 people during the event.

One volunteer explained: “People were very interested in the careers available at AWE. Lots of potential apprentices and graduates said they would apply to us, having found out about us – most had not heard of us or didn’t know what we do. We even had people asking to hand in their CVs there and then! “Our reusable giveaways appeared to be the most popular of all, with other companies bartering for our merchandise!
