Bridget Rosewell

Non-Executive Director

Bridget Rosewell has had a portfolio career in an array of Non-Executive Director (NED) roles. An economist by trade, she has founded multiple businesses and economic consultancies and occupied decision-making positions across both the public and private sectors. This includes posts as Chairman of M6toll and Flood Re, and NED roles at Network Rail, Ulster Bank, and Northumbrian Water. She has a wealth of experience dealing with central government, having been a board member at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Department for Transport (DfT), and served as Chief Economic Adviser to the Mayor of London from 2002 – 2012.

Bridget has written several books on subjects such as economic development, infrastructure in London and the UK, long-term planning, and environmental responsibility.

Bridget graduated from St Hugh’s College, Oxford in 1974 with an M.Phil. in Economics, continuing as a lecturer and a tutor before embarking on her successful career in business and government.

In 2016, Bridget was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS) and was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2019 New Year Honours for services to the Economy.
