Chief People Officer

In 2018, Meg was appointed as Chief People Officer; responsible for the people strategy. This includes talent management and acquisition, development of leadership, learning and competency, as well as the Apprentice Academy, reward and benefits, industrial relations and HR operations. Meg and her team also shape and lead both the wellbeing strategy and the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) strategy.

Meg joined AWE in 2017 as Head of HR to support transformational activity.

Prior to this, Meg spent ten years working for Vodafone. During this time Meg worked in several national and global leadership roles supporting M&A activity, business transformation, major cultural change programmes, global offshoring initiatives as well as establishing Vodafone UK’s first wellbeing team and launching its first D&I strategy. Meg’s earlier career included EMEA roles working in investment banking and five years as a country Head of HR based in Sydney, Australia.

Meg is passionate about developing AWE’s leadership behaviours and values to focus on high performance and high employee engagement.

Meg holds a degree in History and a diploma in HR management. Having recently renovated her house Meg lives in relative calm in West Berkshire with her husband and two children.
