As a Data Scientist Degree Apprentice, you’ll learn how data can answer questions, improve decisions and solve real problems. You’ll develop skills in statistics, data science, analytics and artificial intelligence, and learn how they are used in a real workplace.
You’ll work in different parts of the business and be supported by experienced data scientists, analysts, engineers and technical specialists. Your projects could support engineering, science, operations and corporate teams, helping colleagues understand information and make better decisions.

THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED
A Level Mathematics at grade C or above, or an equivalent qualification, and a second STEM-related A Level at grade C or above, or an equivalent qualification.
Candidates achieving grade B or above in Mathematics are particularly encouraged to apply.
You must be a British National and aged 18 or over by 31 August 2027 due to the security requirements of the role.

Your primary place of work will be AWE Aldermaston and/or AWE Burghfield in the Reading area, depending on your apprenticeship pathway, placements and business needs.
