A new alliance of 35 UK universities will boost defence industry skills, new technologies and research, as part of a £182 million investment. 

AWE’s Engineering Visualisation team has evolved significantly since its early beginnings, growing from a small virtual reality (VR) unit into a specialist capability that supports projects across the business. 

More than 90 AWE-sponsored postgraduate students and academics from over 20 universities came together at the University of Warwick for AWE’s annual postgraduate student conference, focused on materials science and engineering.
